i been reading posts on pal ads if you have xp you can do adds stop same by doing this
go to run type in drivers
open up the folder "etc"
open up the "hosts" file with note pad
on the last line you will see this
127.0.0.1 localhost
so on the next line add this command
127.0.0.1 exit.paltalk.com
127.0.0.1 advertising.paltalk.com

Great. It even disabled the ads that were appearing within Internet Explorer Window. It used to to be frustrating, especially an add of an ugly smile advertising for a product to whiten teeth. What a discusting picture it was. Thank you very much. I just hope that paltalk will not find a way arround it.

This solution works on XP as well as 95, 98 and Vista. You must change your VIEW to see all system files and known file types.
The idiot that said he could not find the HOST file is because it says the HOSTS file. You forgot the S you moron.
The file by default is READ only, change that attribute first then open with notepad.
when you save, make sure ALL files is selected else it will save it as HOSTS.TXT which is WRONG!!!! There file is HOSTS not extension
