1. Click Start
2. Type REGEDIT.EXE in the Run Command box
3. Press Enter key
4. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
5. Navigate to LNKFILE
6. Rename the value IsShortcut
7. Log out and back in again.
8. To reset it, just rename the key back again, and log off and back on.
